Lesteria

Lesteria is an experimental vocal and sound artist based in Paris, France. She builds her tracks by compositing field-recorded and found sounds with improvised instrumentation, then adds a blend of vocal layers which represent the compartmentalization of her inner selves. The text of her vocal performance expresses the separation and reunification of layers of self-awareness. Her work explores the ways in which her consciousness of self interacts with, and is altered by, her experience of the outside world. She releases the works in audio form, but also builds installations around them, performs them live in various settings, and films video clips for them, in which she performs visually as multiple selves.
